Dribbling

Yes shooting is a very important fundamental you need to have in your game to be successful but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. You also must be able to dribble with out dribbling you wouldn’t be able to make plays for yourself or your teammates. When you know how to dribble that gives you the ability to move around the court. What good is it if you don’t know how to dribble? You would just be standing around on the basketball court basically. I will tell you some ways to get your dribbling skills better.

One way you can get your dribbling skills is by having a basketball and just standing there and practicing the basic dribbling moves. The basic dribbling moves include standing dribbling, between the legs dribbling, and behind the back dribbling. You want to practice each one of these individually for 30 minutes. If you are really serious about getting your skills better you want to practice these dribbling drills every day.
You also want to practice dribbling on the go. On the go means while dribbling up and down the court. You want to stay under the court. You want to stay under control while you do this and you should practice this also 30 minutes, and if your serious every day. Each day that goes by and practice these dribbling drills you will only get better and better at it. When you get good at dribbling that’s when you can learn things like crossovers it’s optional. You will only get better at the things you practice it all starts with the fundamentals.

Michael Jordan is a 6 time NBA Champion and a fifteen time NBA All-star. There is a reason why he is the greatest player to play the sport. He mastered all of the fundamentals of the game. The fundamentals consist of dribbling, shooting, defense, rebounding, and defense. If you have the fundamentals down you will be a good player. You also have to be dedicated.

I am going to tell you about one of the fundamentals Michael Jordan practiced to be the greatest. His shooting. Michael Jordan shot 2000 jumpers a day. Now that’s dedication. When you are shooting a jumper you must have a good form that is comfortable for you. You also must focus, and you really want to shoot the same every time you shoot the basketball. Michael Jordan was so athletic too that’s why he was so hard to guard. When he shot his jumpers he always got great lift on them. Michael has the highest vertical leap in NBA history. His vertical leap is 48 inches. Michael always felt like there was room for improvement in his game so he stayed in the practice gym with the goal of being the best player. Another thing is he was a competitor. He hated to lose so that was more fuel to his fire. You need to have dat competitor nature to help motivate you in this game. Michael put a lot of blood sweat and tears in this game and for that, that’s why he is the greatest to play the game due to the fundamentals>
